Vanderbilt Women’s Basketball officially landed Northwestern State transfer Vee Atamah on April 29, per the team’s social media accounts. The reigning Southland Conference Player of the Year started 32 games in the 2025-26 season, averaging 19.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. She also shot 40.9% from the field and 39.4% from deep.

The 6’0 wing was one of the most efficient players in the Southland Conference this year, earning seven double-doubles as well as hitting double digit points in 29 games. Her height and athleticism allow her to be a physical presence on the court, and with the departures of Njdakalenga Mwenentanda and Justine Pissott, she will likely play the three or the four position in head coach Shea Ralph’s system. Atamah also excels as a rebounder, as evidenced by her seven games in which she had over 10 rebounds.
This marks Ralph’s second signee from the transfer portal, after Mia Woolfolk committed on April 14. With a incoming freshman class of two five-stars prospects, and the return of SEC Player of the Year Mikayla Blakes and SEC Freshman of the Year Aubrey Galvan, Ralph looks to build yet another championship contending roster on West End for the 2026-27 season.
