Most NCAA tournament bracket projections still have Vanderbilt basketball as a No. 5 seed, but the potential is there to move up to a 4-seed after beating Tennessee.
The No. 22-ranked Commodores (24-7) defeated the Vols, 86-82, in Knoxville to end the regular season and finish out the regular season. Vanderbilt begins play in the SEC tournament in Nashville on March 13.
At Bracket Matrix, which summarizes a variety of brackets, the Commodores are the top 5-seed, being listed as a 4-seed in a little over one-third of the brackets in the matrix.
