The sports arrow at Vanderbilt continues to point up.
The Commodores landed a key men’s basketball transfer commitment overnight Friday into Saturday, securing talent for Vandy’s 2026-27 roster.
The new guy is a guard with an awesome name: Ace Glass.
Glass comes aboard from Washington State after averaging 16.4 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 2025-26. He shot 36.4% from beyond the arc, as well.
Glass was a four-star high school recruit who just completed his freshman season with the Cougars.
That means, if Vandy plays its cards right, Glass could be around for a few more years.
Clearly, though, in the modern world of college basketball, roster moves are a year-to-year situation.
For now, all the Commodores know is that they’ll have Glass for the season ahead.
It’s hard to have too many good guards on a team that wants to contend in a strong conference and then in the NCAA Tournament, and Glass is certainly a talented one.
He’s also Ace Glass III, for those wondering — so this name has been passed down through the generations to reach this point, when an impressive talent with a name made for an athlete will be arriving at Vanderbilt to help the basketball program continue to thrive.
Not a bad time to be Vandy, that’s for sure.
