Ensworth senior guard Chase Byington propped one shoulder against a concrete wall deep inside the school’s gymnasium and tried to remember his first basketball game.
His dad was a College of Charleston assistant coach at the time and the whole family was on a plane with the team headed to UNC Wilmington. That’s the story everyone tells. Byington believes he was only about three months old.
