Vanderbilt women’s basketball was selected as a No. 2 seed in March Madness, where it will face No. 15 seed High Point (27-5) on March 21 at Memorial Gymnasium to start the 2026 Women’s NCAA Tournament.
The game will be at 6 p.m. CT on ESPNews.
The Commodores (27-4) finished tied for second with a 13-3 SEC record, their most conference wins in program history. They defeated Texas, LSU and Oklahoma, among others. Mikayla Blakes was named SEC Player of the Year, while Aubrey Galvan was SEC Freshman of the Year and Shea Ralph named SEC Coach of the Year.
As a 2-seed, Vanderbilt will host the first two rounds of the tournament.
The top seed in this Fort Worth region is UConn and the 7-seed is Illinois.
Vanderbilt is making its third straight NCAA Tournament. Last year, the Commodores lost in the first round as a 7-seed.
Vanderbilt has not played in more than a week after losing to Ole Miss in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament.
