Vanderbilt women’s basketball will face one of its biggest games in decades.
The fifth-ranked Commodores (23-2, 9-2 SEC) will battle No. 4 Texas (23-2, 8-2) in a top-five matchup at Memorial Gymnasium on Feb. 12 (6:30 p.m. CT, SEC Network+).
Vanderbilt got off to an inspired start, taking a 47-30 lead into halftime, shooting 62% from the field and 50% from three in the first half.
Vanderbilt star Mikayla Blakes is working on a streak of three straight 30-point games after hitting the mark in wins over Florida, Kentucky and Oklahoma. Blakes put up 15 points in the first half, while Aubrey Galvan had 13 points with six rebounds.
The Longhorns are working on a five-game winning streak that includes wins over Kentucky and LSU.
