Vanderbilt women’s basketball has its offseason in full swing as the Commodores look to build on their Sweet 16 run from 2026.
The portal is open for new entries from April 6-20, though players can commit after that if they entered during the window.
Vanderbilt is likely to take a quality-over-quantity approach in the portal. The Commodores are expected to return star guards Mikayla Blakes and Aubrey Galvan while bringing in 5-star freshman Olivia Jones and 4-star Jhai Johnson.
However, Vanderbilt needs to replace three starters with Ndjakalenga Mwenentanda, Justine Pissott and Sacha Washington all out of eligibility.
Shea Ralph likes to target former 5-star recruits as well as grad transfers in the portal.
Here’s who is entering and leaving Vanderbilt:
Ava Black announced that she would be entering the portal on Instagram on April 11. Black appeared in 30 games as a freshman in 2025-26, averaging 2.8 points per game. Her biggest impact came on defense, as she was a lockdown perimeter defender and averaged 2.3 rebounds per game.
