Commodores look to cap off historic undefeated home season with road win over in-state rival Lady Vols

The No. 5 Vanderbilt women’s basketball team will conclude its regular season on Sunday, March 1 with a matchup against in-state SEC rival Tennessee at Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville. The Commodores, led by star players Mikayla Blakes and Sacha Washington, are coming off an 85-60 win over Alabama to finish the regular season undefeated at home. Meanwhile, the Lady Vols have lost five straight games and will look to end the skid against their longtime foe.
This game represents the final regular season contest for both teams before the SEC Tournament begins on March 4. Vanderbilt is looking to cap off a historic season with an undefeated home record, while Tennessee hopes to get back on track and build momentum heading into postseason play.
