Vanderbilt took down SEC No. 1 seed Florida 91-74 in the conference tournament semifinals to advance to the championship game on Sunday, March 15.
The top-seeded Gators (26-7) entered the game with just two losses — Missouri and Auburn — and had not lost since their January defeat to Auburn.
The Commodores took a 10-point lead with just over two minutes left in the first half, a margin that only grew after halftime.

Vanderbilt committed just eight turnovers to Floridas 14 while shooting 54.5% from the field and 91.3% from the line against one of the best defenses in the country.
The win was a true team effort, with Tyler Tanner and Duke Miles combining for 35 points and 15 assists, Jalen Washington adding 17 points, and Chandler Bing delivering an aggressive performance that even resulted in a rim-breaking dunk.

The Florida loss now falls into the selection committees hands to decide whether the Gators will hold on to a No. 1 seed, as Vanderbilt moves on to face the winner of Ole Miss vs. Arkansas in hopes of winning its first conference title since 2012.
The Wolverines advance to Sunday with an opportunity to defend their Big Ten title. Tied 65-65 in the closing seconds of the Big Ten semifinal, Big Ten Player of the Year Yaxel Lendeborg drilled a 3-pointer with 0.3 seconds left to give Michigan the win over the Badgers.
