VANDERBILT have given fans a first look at their proposed development of a new complex for lacrosse and soccer.
The Tennessee university announced the plans for the new developments on Wednesday, with stars across sports seemingly set to get a major upgrade to their facilities.

Included in the plans for the ‘Vandy United’ project is a new stadium specifically for soccer and lacrosse. on the back of the recent successes of the SEC tournament-winning women’s soccer team.
The team benefit from the work of the university’s ‘Anchored for Her’ initiative, dedicated to supporting women’s sports at the school.
The plans are part of a $300million investment drive into the club, looking to turn their existing facilities into a hub for sports in the community.
Athletics director Candice Storey Lee champions what she referred to as “a bold vision for what lies ahead and a commitment to reinvesting in the future of Vanderbilt Athletics” in a release earlier this week.

She said: “Our aspirations have never been higher, and our commitment to excellence has never been stronger.
“Now we take the next step—reimagining the football experience, investing in new homes for soccer and lacrosse, and building championship-caliber spaces across Vanderbilt Athletics.
“Together, we are creating a model for sustainable excellence that will lead the future of college sports. There has never been a better time to be a Commodore.”
There will also be investments into a new “football experience centre” including an indoor practice pitch for the Commodores.

The hub will include facilities for training, recovery and even administration in the new building.
The university’s Lummis Family Tennis Center is also getting an extension to its indoor playing facilities.
And away from the sporting venues themselves, campus’ Jess Neely Drive is set to get a major revamp.
The area is set to be turned into a “vibrant pedestrian corridor” complete with food vendors and retail kiosks for fans and family attending games at the new venue.
Vanderbilt football coach Clark Lea said of the developments: “I am so humbled, as football coach, to have leadership that sets the course for our team’s success—and so grateful, as an alum and former student-athlete, that they invest that same energy in every individual.
“With the support of our fans who power the National Commodore Club, Vandy United shows everyone what is possible here.
“Now is the time to take the next step. We have the opportunity to push forward and reach for more. We need everyone committed to the mission because we have the opportunity to win national championships.”
