Vanderbilt men’s basketball had its 2026-2027 SEC opponents announced on June 25. And unlike the women’s program, the men will play Tennessee both in Nashville and in Knoxville.
Vanderbilt will also play Kentucky and Texas A&M home and away.
However, the Commodores play Arkansas, Auburn, Mississippi State, Missouri, South Carolina and Texas only in Nashville at Memorial Gymnasium. They have road-only games at Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss and Oklahoma.
Times, dates and television information are to be announced at a later date.
The Commodores finished 11-7 in conference play in 2025, winning the season series 2-1 against their rival Tennessee Volunteers including a 75-68 victory in the SEC Tournament quarterfinal.
Tyler Tanner, who returned to Vanderbilt after flirting with the NBA draft, headlines the Commodores’ roster. The 6-foot point guard from Brentwood Academy, averaged 19.5 points and 5.1 assists. The Commodores’ roster will be bolstered by their fourth-ranked transfer portal class. It brings size and answers rebounding questions.
Vandy brought in 6-8 Auburn forward Sebastian Williams-Adams, 7-0 Colorado forward Bangot Dak and 6-9 Nebraska transfer Berke Buyuktuncel. The Commodores also added Washington State transfer Ace Glass and Missouri transfer T.O. Barrett at guard to assist Tanner.
Four of Vandy’s non-conference games have previously been released, as it hosts contests against Wake Forest on Nov. 5, Memphis on Nov. 10 and UCF on Nov. 17.
