Vanderbilt football held its annual spring game April 18 at FirstBank Stadium.
The offense defeated the defense, 41-24, using a modified scoring system that gave both the offense and defense points for certain things. The offense scored three touchdowns and two field goals.
Jared Curtis, the No. 1 player in the 2026 class and a 5-star recruit, was one of four quarterbacks who participated. Curtis is battling for the starting job with Blaze Berlowitz, Whit Muschamp and Jack Elliott.
Vanderbilt is looking to build off its 10-3 season in 2025, but the roster will look different in 2026. Quarterback Diego Pavia, the Heisman runner-up, and All-America tight end Eli Stowers are gone. Both are headed to the NFL draft.
In addition to Curtis, the Commodores have brought in several freshmen led by wide receiver Owen Cabell, a former Alabama commit, and a transfer class led by former Clemson safety Ricardo Jones.
The game was played with four 15-minute quarters with a running clock.
