Just because Vanderbilt women’s basketball entered Stegeman Coliseum coming off two wins over top-10 teams didn’t figure to make its matchup with Georgia any easier.
Playing their third game in seven days, the No. 5 Commodores (24-3, 10-3 SEC) fell behind early and couldn’t finish off their comeback attempt in a 76-74 loss to the Bulldogs (20-6, 6-6) on Feb. 15 in Athens, Georgia. Coach Shea Ralph didn’t think the Commodores played their best, which usually spells trouble on the road in the SEC — even after a pair of 16-point wins over No. 10 Oklahoma and No. 4 Texas.
