On this week’s episode of Live From West End, Sports Editor Henry Oelhafen and Sports Podcast Producer Tristan Rutman kick things off by breaking down the men’s basketball team’s home win over Georgia, road loss to Kentucky and road win over Ole Miss. They then preview the squad’s final game of the regular season against in-state rival Tennessee in Knoxville on Saturday. The duo transitions to women’s basketball, which defeated then-No. 24 Alabama and Tennessee — helping it to sweep the end-of-season SEC awards — to secure the No. 2 seed in the SEC tournament, where they will face either Ole Miss or the winner of Auburn vs. Texas A&M in the quarterfinals. They move to cover baseball’s results from the weekend, where the VandyBoys fell to UC Irvine, Arizona and Oregon en route to an 0-3 Las Vegas road trip, before picking up their fourth straight loss to Central Arkansas. And as always, the episode wraps up with “Tristan’s Two-Minute Drill™,” where Henry and Tristan make some predictions for this year’s March Madness moments.
