Ole Miss senior guard/forward Cotie McMahon scored 27 points Friday afternoon as the No. 17 Rebels survived a second-half rally against No. 5 Vanderbilt to win 83-75 in Birmingham, Alabama. The game was originally scheduled to be played Thursday at SJB Pavilion but was moved due to inclement weather.
The Rebels (18-4, 5-2 SEC) led by 19 at halftime behind 15 first-half points from McMahon. The Commodores (20-2, 6-2) stormed back and took a three-point lead just more than four minutes into the fourth quarter. Ole Miss closed the game on a 19-8 run. It’s the Rebels’ second top-five win this month.
