The Miami men's basketball program announced Monday that it will host Vanderbilt in an open scrimmage at 6 p.m. EST on Friday, Oct. 23, giving fans a first look at Jai Lucas' second-year roster.
Admission is free and a team-wide autograph session will follow the scrimmage.

The scrimmage comes more than a month before Miami opens ACC play Dec. 29 against NC State. Vanderbilt, coached by Mark Byington, went 27-9 last season, finished 11-7 in SEC play and reached the second round of the tournament. The Commodores were 20-13 and an NCAA first-round team in Byington's first year in Nashville.
Miami is turning over most of the roster that carried Lucas through Year 1. The Hurricanes return sophomores Shelton Henderson and Dante Allen and are adding 12 new players from the transfer portal, the high school ranks and the international market.
