Mizzou’s trip to Nashville has been tabbed for an afternoon kickoff time.
Missouri football will travel to face Vanderbilt in what will likely be a top-15 matchup when the updated national rankings are announced on Saturday, Oct. 25, in Music City. The game is scheduled to kick off at 2:30 p.m. and will air on ESPN, the Southeastern Conference announced.
The kickoff window and TV slot keeps the possibility open that the Tigers and Commodores could be the featured game for College GameDay.
The site for the traveling pregame show had not been officially announced as of early Sunday morning.
Mizzou (6-1, 2-1 SEC) survived a test from Auburn on Saturday, Oct. 18 in Auburn, Alabama, as MU had to come from behind entering the fourth quarter to beat AU 23-17 in double-overtime. It was Missouri’s first road game of the season.
Vanderbilt (6-1, 2-1 SEC) beat LSU on its home field in a top-20 matchup Saturday. The Commodores’ only loss this season, like Mizzou, was against Alabama.
That means next week’s game has significant College Football Playoff implications, and the winner also will remain a serious contender in the SEC title race.
Missouri is 12-4-1 all-time against Vanderbilt and has won five straight games in the series.
Last season, Missouri needed double-overtime to beat the Commodores in Columbia.
The Tigers’ last trip to Nashville to face Vandy, which was in 2023, ended in a 38-21 Mizzou win.
