The Georgia Bulldogs have announced that their 2026 homecoming game will be against the Vanderbilt Commodores on Saturday, Oct. 3. The Georgia-Vanderbilt game could be a trap game for Georgia, who will be playing Vanderbilt a week after playing the Oklahoma Sooners and a week before playing the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Georgia is 83-18-2 all-time in homecoming games. The Bulldogs are expected to be significant home favorites against Vanderbilt and freshman quarterback Jared Curtis, who decommitted from Georgia.
The Bulldogs’ Oct. 3 game against Vanderbilt will kickoff at a time between noon and 1 p.m. ET. Georgia is 9-1 in homecoming games through the coach Kirby Smart era. The Bulldogs’ lone homecoming defeat during Smart’s tenure came in 2016 against Vanderbilt. Georgia has won six straight games against Vanderbilt since the Commodores’ 2016 win over Georgia.
The Bulldogs and Commodores no longer play annually against each other in the SEC East. The two SEC foes will play twice between 2026 and 2029.
Georgia defeated Kentucky 35-14 on homecoming last year. Georgia has won nine consecutive homecoming games.
