Commodores seal the victory against Auburn
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt Volleyball earns it's 12th win of the season after defeating Auburn in three straight sets at Memorial Gymnasium Friday evening. The Commodores advanced to 12-2 on the year and 3-2 in SEC play.
The Commodores controlled the match from the opening serve, cruising to a double-digit win in set one before carrying that momentum into a 25-18 second-set victory. Auburn provided its toughest challenge in the third set, but Vanderbilt answered down the stretch to complete the sweep.
With the win, the Commodores secured their third consecutive straight-set victory over an SEC opponent and will face No. 5 Florida Sunday afternoon at a 1 p.m. first serve.
