Women's tennis opens fall season on Sept. 19
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt women’s tennis is less than three weeks away from a return to action, as the Commodores are set to begin their fall slate on Sept. 19 at the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, North Carolina.
All-Americans is a qualifying tournament for the NCAA Division I Individual Championships in November. 10 singles players from the All-American Championships will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship, consisting of eight main draw quarterfinalists and two feed-in consolation finalists, while four doubles teams will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship.
Vanderbilt will also have players competing in the Belmont/Lipscomb Invitational taking place Sept. 25-27. The Dores then eye another run at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships Oct. 8-13 in Mason, Ohio. They secured both the singles and doubles titles at the regional event last season.
After a short break, Vandy has three separate events on the calendar in early November. The ITA Sectional Championships are set to run Nov. 5-8 in Knoxville, Tennessee while the ITA Conference Masters Championships will take place on the same days from Rome, Georgia. The Dores will then play host to the 14th annual June Stewart Invitational Nov. 6-8.
The 2026 fall season ends with the NCAA Division I Individual Championships hosted by Georgia, set for Nov. 17-22. Vanderbilt made its deepest-ever run in the tournament last year after Célia-Belle Mohr and Sophia Webster advanced to the program’s first doubles final appearance.
