Tyler Tanner was sick when Vanderbilt basketball hit the road to face Missouri and, his coach said, you could tell in the first half.
Not by the second half, though.
Tanner scored 27 points total, 16 in the second half, for the 18th-ranked Commodores (21-5, 8-5 SEC), who lost 81-80 to Missouri (18-8, 8-5) at Mizzou Arena on Feb. 18. They had gone down by 21 late in the second half when Tanner took over. He set up shots, generated turnovers and made big buckets himself. The Commodores continued to cut the deficit but ultimately couldn’t complete the comeback.
