All-WCC performer Ace Glass joins Dores after stellar freshman campaign
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt men’s basketball added standout guard Ace Glass to its 2026-27 roster following his All-West Coast Conference freshman season at Washington State.
Glass averaged a team-leading 16.4 points with 3.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists in his lone season with the Cougars. He broke the Wazzu freshman scoring record with 525 points on the season while shooting 45.5 percent from the field and 36.4 percent from three-point range. Glass was also exceptional at the line in his rookie season, knocking down 88.2 percent of his free throws. He also hit 71 triples on the season to break Klay Thompson’s WSU freshman record.
A native of Rialto, California, Glass exploded on the scene with a 40-point outburst against Arizona State in the Maui Invitational. The 40-piece broke the Washington State freshman record and was one of eight 40-point games against high major foes last season.
Glass finished his freshman campaign with 10 games of 20 or more points and scored in double figures in 27-of-32 contests. He connected on three or more three-pointers in 12 games. He was named the WCC Freshman of the Week three times and earned a place on the All-WCC Freshman Team at year’s end.
The guard played his high school basketball at Rancho Cucamonga where he was a four-star prospect. Glass was a top 150 recruit out of high school and ranked as high as the No. 14 combo guard in the class.
The rising sophomore is the second Commodore signee in as many days, joining Berke Büyüktuncel.
