AUBURN — One day after Auburn basketball lost a transfer departure to Vanderbilt, the Tigers made another portal pickup, this time from the Commodores’ ranks.
Former Vanderbilt guard George Kimble III announced his commitment to the Tigers on Wednesday, April 22, becoming Auburn‘s fifth transfer addition of the offseason. Kimble sat out his junior year, still recovering from an injury he sustained the year prior when playing for Eastern Kentucky.
At EKU, Kimble was an All-ASUN guard, averaging 18 points and 2.6 steals per game with the Colonels. Prior to Eastern Kentucky, Kimble spent one year at Eckerd College, averaging 19.4 points at the Division II level.
