FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas sophomore center Kash Courtney was named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week following the Razorbacks’ 31-21 victory at Vanderbilt on Saturday.
In his first start this season, the 6-foot-4, 301-pound native of Carthage, Texas, helped Arkansas tally 438 yards of total offense. The Razorbacks did not allow a sack and rushed for a season-high 187 yards.
Pro Football Focus gave Courtney a pass-blocking grade of 68.6, which ranked second among Arkansas’ offensive linemen. He graded at 48.4 in run blocking.
Courtney started in place of fifth-year lineman Caden Kitler, who according to the Razorback Sports Network pregame show suffered a broken toe earlier this season and has been enduring plantar fasciitis. Kitler, one of three team captains, was replaced by Courtney during Arkansas’ 24-17 loss to Tennessee in Week 6.

It marked the first time this season an Arkansas player has won an SEC individual weekly award. Prior to Monday, the Razorbacks hadn’t seen a player named offensive lineman of the week since Fernando Carmona won the award on Oct. 7, 2024.
Carmona, who now plays for the Tennessee Titans, was in attendance for Arkansas’ victory over the Commodores.
Courtney won the award in tandem with Ole Miss offensive guard Patrick Kutas, who played for the Razorbacks from 2022-24. The Rebels defeated Missouri 31-3 on Saturday.
