Vanderbilt men’s basketball bounced back after a tough loss to Oklahoma to beat Auburn 84-76 at Neville Arena on Feb. 10. 
Tyler Tanner had 25 points and Jalen Washington had a career-high 22 points to lead the No. 20 Commodores (20-4, 7-4 SEC).
Vanderbilt led for much of the contest, but had to hold off Auburn after building a 12-point lead at halftime. The Tigers cut the Commodores’ lead to 70-66 with 2:42 left, but free throws from Tanner and a long 3-pointer from AK Okereke restored a double-digit lead for Vanderbilt.
This was Vanderbilt’s first road win over Auburn since 2016.
Tahaad Pettiford had 21 points to lead Auburn (14-10, 5-6), who dropped their third straight SEC game.
Next up, Vanderbilt hosts Texas A&M on Feb. 14. 
Auburn cut Vanderbilt’s lead down to four with three minutes left, but four free throws by Tanner and a 3-pointer by AK Okereke pushed Vanderbilt’s lead back to 11. They lead 77-66 with less than 90 seconds remaining.
An 8-0 run by Auburn has cut Vanderbilt’s lead to 68-62 with under four minutes. KeShawn Murphy had four points and an assist during the run.
McGlockton was a force for Vanderbilt in the first half, but he fouls out with 5:34 left after holding an Auburn player under the basket. He finishes with 12 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and three blocks.
Auburn cut Vanderbilt’s lead to eight with around seven minutes left, but Tanner made a deep 3-pointer to push the lead back to 11. The shot came as the shot clock was winding down, just beating the buzzer. Tanner is up to 16 points in the game and Vanderbilt leads 64-53.
Vanderbilt led by as much as 15, but holds a 57-45 lead over Auburn with 10:55 left. The Commodores have been a handful for the Tigers inside, owning a 28-14 edge on points in the paint. Washington (18 points) and McGlockton (12 points) lead the way.
Vanderbilt opens the second half on an 8-4 run to add to their lead. Jalen Washington, who has 16 points so far, had a nice one-hand dunk to make it 49-35 Vanderbilt.
At the half, Vanderbilt leads 42-31 over Auburn. McGlockton has been sensational for the Commodores – he has 12 points, six rebounds, and three blocks. Vanderbilt is shooting 57% compared to 32% for Auburn.
Devin McGlockton is putting together a nice game with four points, four rebounds, and two blocks. He’s hit back-to-back layups to push Vanderbilt to a 34-28 lead with 3:17 left.
Auburn has a 15-4 rebounding edge, including a 9-2 lead in offensive boards, early on. Vanderbilt leads 26-23 with 6:37 left thanks to some good shooting by Nickel and Tyler Washington.
Vanderbilt still leads, 18-17, but hasn’t taken advantage of a cold stretch for Auburn’s offense. The Tigers missed six straight field goals before two straight 3-pointers by Keyshawn Hall got it within one.
Vanderbilt hit four straight field goals to start the game, including a 3-pointer by Tyler Nickel. He leads Vanderbilt with five points as they lead 11-6 with 15:12 left in the first half.

Duke Miles and Frankie Collins are likely out for Vanderbilt.
