NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Commodores and Volunteers now know what the road to the 2026 national championship looks like. Vanderbilt and Tennessee unveiled their 2026 football schedules Thursday night.
The SEC announced in August its teams would play a nine-game conference schedule starting with the 2026 season. In the new format, each SEC school will play every other SEC school at least once every two years, and every opponent home and away over four years.
Vanderbilt will play three opponents that ranked in the Top 25 in the final College Football Playoff rankings; the Volunteers will matchup against five.
