Brian Allen Jr., a defensive end from Iowa who played against Vanderbilt football this season, committed to transfer to the Commodores on Jan. 11, he announced.
Allen played in the ReliaQuest Bowl against Vanderbilt and recorded two tackles, including 0.5 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks. In total, the 6-foot-3, 264-pounder recorded 16 tackles in 2025 with one fumble recovery and one pass breakup. His numbers in 2025 were down from 2024, in which he recorded 17 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and three sacks.
He is a grad transfer who started his career in 2022, although he only saw significant action in 2024 and 2025. Coming out of high school, he was a 3-star recruit from St. Thomas More School, ranked No. 588 nationally.
Allen is the third defensive line transfer to Vanderbilt, after LSU’s CJ Jackson and Jacksonville State’s Talan Carter.
