The Ole Miss men’s basketball game against Vanderbilt has been moved due to the winter storm.
The Rebels (11-9, 3-4 SEC) and No. 15 Vanderbilt (18-3, 5-3) were scheduled to play in Oxford at SJB Pavilion on Jan. 31 at 7:30 p.m. CT. The game will now be played in Nashville at Memorial Gymnasium at the same date with the game starting at 5 p.m. Television broadcast details for the game have not been announced.
The Rebels and Commodores will swap home games, with Ole Miss now scheduled to host Vanderbilt on March 4.
All tickets purchased for the Jan. 31 game originally scheduled in Oxford will be honored on March 4, and all tickets and parking passes purchased for the March 4 contest originally scheduled in Nashville will be valid for the Jan. 31 game.
This is the Rebels’ second game that has been affected by the winter storm. The start time for their game at Kentucky on Jan. 24 was adjusted due to a winter storm warning.
The Ole Miss campus in Oxford has been closed since Jan. 26 and scheduled to remain closed until Feb. 8. According to Ole Miss, thousands in the are are still without power and water and are experiencing problems with internet and cell service.
Roads and walkways are still hazardous due to icy conditions and there are downed trees and power lines throughout the area as well.
