Thanks to Winter Storm Fern, the SEC flipped the script on No. 18 Vanderbilt men’s basketball and Ole Miss, announcing Jan. 29 that the game scheduled for Jan. 31 at SJB Pavilion in Oxford, Mississippi, will now be played at 5 p.m. on the same date at Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville.
The conference also announced that the matchup between Tyler Tanner and Mark Byington‘s Commodores and the Rebels scheduled for March 4 in Nashville will be played in Oxford.
Winter storms that have caused heavy damage in the Oxford area have forced the school to close through Feb. 8. Many in the area are without power or water and there are hazardous, icy road conditions, many downed trees and power lines and fluctuating temperatures.
All tickets bought for the game scheduled for March 4 in Nashville will be valid for the Jan. 31 game. Vanderbilt said fans should see updated tickets in their accounts as soon as Jan. 29.
Tickets also can be purchased at VUCommodores.com.
