Men’s Basketball: Previewing Vanderbilt vs. Kentucky
Just as icy conditions have shut down Vanderbilt’s campus this week, similar weather has ravaged other SEC schools. Ole Miss in particular has closed its campus through Feb. 8 to recover after the winter storm on Jan. 24.
It was announced earlier this week that the Commodores and Rebels’ women’s basketball match would be rescheduled from Thursday to Friday, Jan. 30, at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama.
Now, the men’s basketball game between the two schools, scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 31, is being relocated to Nashville and will serve as a home game for the Commodores at Memorial Gymnasium. Since Vanderbilt and Ole Miss play twice this season, their showdown on Mar. 4 will now be in Oxford.
All pre-sold tickets for the Mar. 4 game in Memorial will be valid for Saturday night, and all second and third level tickets will be 50 percent off. Student ticket claims will open at 1 p.m. CST on Thursday.
The television designation for the game is to be announced.
The game between the No. 18 Commodores and the Rebels will now be at 5 p.m. CST on Saturday.
