Vanderbilt basketball’s late-season win over Tennessee helped its case for a higher seed in March Madness, but there is still work to be done if the Commodores want to be a No. 4 seed.
Vanderbilt (24-7) finished tied for fourth in the SEC and has the double-bye in the SEC tournament. The Commodores will begin play on March 13 (approximately 2:30 p.m. CT, ESPN).
It’s unclear how much the SEC tournament will impact Vanderbilt’s seeding, but conference tournaments often have a relatively limited impact.
Selection Sunday will take place on March 15 at 5 p.m. CT, with the selection show on CBS. The Commodores will be playing in their second straight NCAA tournament.
