The NFL delivered a record-setting 2026 NFL Draft this past week, packed with big moments, blockbuster trades, and life-changing selections.
The draft also delivered several disappointments. Diego Pavia, a quarterback from Vanderbilt Commodores football, went unselected after three days.
Pavia entered the draft as a long shot. He lacked the ideal measurables for an NFL quarterback and carried some character concerns.

Even so, he still received an opportunity after the draft. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Pavia earned an invitation to a rookie camp.
Which team invited him? The Baltimore Ravens. This invite offers more than just a chance to work with a top NFL organization — it serves as his primary tryout.
Rookie camps give undrafted players a chance to prove themselves while drafted players and signed free agents begin acclimating to the NFL.

Pavia faces an uphill battle. He already works against physical limitations, and he may have alienated some teams during the process.
Still, if Pavia performs well and makes a strong impression in Baltimore, this opportunity could be enough. The Ravens have struggled to find a reliable backup behind Lamar Jackson.
Jackson has missed time in multiple seasons. Although he has adjusted his playing style to avoid hits, injuries have continued to affect him.
The Ravens also often rest starters in Weeks 17 or 18 when playoff positioning is secure, giving backups extended playing time. Could Pavia make Baltimore his home?
