Alabama picks up a win on the recruiting trail, with four-star cornerback Braylen Gibbs flipping his commitment from Vanderbilt to Alabama, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3 and Rivals.
 
 
Gibbs had been committed to Vanderbilt since December. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound cornerback picked up an offer from the Crimson Tide on March 11, 2026. He is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee, playing his high school football for Knoxville Catholic. The class of 2028 recruit is rated as the No. 302 overall prospect in the class, the No. 17 athlete, and the No. 13 player in the state of Tennessee.
 
He has taken two unofficial visits to Tuscaloosa, with the most recent coming on June 15, 2026. He has also taken visits to Georgia and Ole Miss. He is the third commitment for Alabama in the 2028 recruiting class, joining:
 
Three-star QB Charles Scott Jr.
Linebacker Dustin Henry
 
The Crimson Tide now has the ninth overall class in 2028, according to 247 Sports.
