Vanderbilt basketball is officially in the 2026 NCAA Tournament.
The Commodores (26-8) will take on McNeese in the first round as a No. 5 seed in Oklahoma City on March 19. This comes after a run in the SEC tournament that included a victory over No. 1 seed Florida in the semifinals.
Vanderbilt will tip off at approximately 2:15 p.m. CT on TruTV.
Vanderbilt finished tied for fourth in the SEC with an 11-7 conference record and beat Tennessee and Alabama during the regular season, among other ranked teams. The Commodores are in their second year under coach Mark Byington. He led them to the NCAA tournament in his first season, where they lost in the first round as a 10-seed to Saint Mary’s.
Before that, Vanderbilt had not made the tournament since 2017.
