Vanderbilt men’s basketball will face in-state rival Tennessee in the SEC men’s basketball tournament today, March 13 (2:30 p.m. CT, ESPN) at Bridgestone Arena.
The fourth-seeded Commodores (24-7, 11-7 SEC) are coming off an 89-86 win against OIe Miss on March 3. Tyler Tanner had 34 points, five rebounds and seven assists; Duke Miles and AK Okereke each scored 16.
The Vols (22-10, 11-7) are coming off a 72-62 road victory against Auburn on March 12 in the first round of the SEC Tournament.
Tennessee won the first meeting against Vanderbilt this season 69-65 on Feb. 21 in Nashville. Vanderbilt beat the Vols 86-82 on March 7 in Knoxville.
The SEC men’s basketball tournament begins March 11 at Bridgestone Arena.
