Jaylin Davies, an Oklahoma State transfer cornerback, committed to Vanderbilt football on Feb. 25, he announced on his Instagram story.
Davies will be a sixth-year player. A former 4-star recruit, he started his career at Oregon in 2021, taking a redshirt there. He spent three seasons at UCLA after that, and went to Oklahoma State for a graduate season, but he appeared in only one game before suffering a season-ending injury, giving him an additional year of eligibility.
Davies entered the transfer portal in January when it opened but did not commit until now.
In his three seasons at UCLA, Davies appeared in 38 games and recorded 105 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks.
He is the third defensive back to join Vanderbilt in the portal, after Clemson safety Ricardo Jones and Texas A&M cornerback Cobey Sellers. He is also the second transfer from Oklahoma State, joining defensive lineman Michael Diatta.
