Alabama football has secured a flip in the 2028 recruiting class.
Braylen Gibbs, a four-star defensive back out of Knoxville, Tennessee, flipped his commitment from Vanderbilt to Alabama. Gibbs had been committed to Vanderbilt since December.
“Home,” Gibbs wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, Gibbs, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound defensive back, is the No. 302 prospect and the No. 17 athlete in the 2028 class.
Gibbs is now one of three commits in Alabama’s 2028 recruiting class, joining Baltimore linebacker Dustin Henry and Virginia quarterback Charles Scott Jr.
WIth Gibbs, Alabama has the No. 8 class in the country, per 247Sports.
Alabama has eight commits in the 2027 recruiting class.
