A&M is firmly in must‑win territory if it hopes to present a strong résumé to both the SEC Tournament bracket and the NCAA Tournament selection committee. A win over A&M would strengthen that push.
Saturday marks the 21st meeting between the programs, with Vanderbilt holding a 12–8 series lead and winning the last two matchups. For the Aggies, the path forward is unforgiving. Even reaching ten SEC wins may not be enough to feel secure on Selection Sunday, making every remaining game — starting with this one — a must‑have.
