Coming off its best season in history, Vanderbilt football announced on Feb. 3 that its 2026 Black and Gold Spring Game will be played on April 18 at FirstBank Stadium.
The spring game will be the first look for fans wanting to see coach Clark Lea’s sixth Vanderbilt team. The back-to-back SEC Coach of the Year led the Commodores to the program’s first 10-win season, six of which were SEC victories, also the most in program history in 2025.
Lea was also the 2025 Eddie Robinson National Coach of the Year. The Commodores finished 15th in the AP poll and the US LBM coaches poll. They were ranked as high as No. 9, the program’s best since 1937.
Vanderbilt ended the 2025 season in the ReliaQuest Bowl, where the Commodores lost to Iowa 34-27.
Details surrounding the spring game will be announced at a later date.
