South Carolina is three days removed from a 94-82 overtime loss to No. 16 Oklahoma on Thursday. That loss snapped a 12-game winning streak highlighted by a 5-0 start in SEC play and a win over No. 4 Texas. Oklahoma’s Aaliyah Chavez scored 15 points in overtime alone as the Sooners ran away from the Gamecocks and handed them their first SEC loss.
Meanwhile, Vanderbilt is on the rise and goes into Sunday with a perfect 20-0 overall record and tied with Tennessee atop the SEC with a 6-0 league record. Last time out, Vandy followed up a momentous win over No. 7 Michigan (72-69) with its sixth SEC win over Auburn (81-53).
