Vanderbilt women’s basketball had its game against Ole Miss moved back a day to Jan. 30 and relocated to Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama.
The game was rescheduled due to severe, icy conditions and power outages in Oxford, Mississippi that led to the closure of Ole Miss’ campus until Feb. 1.
Though both teams had a conference open date remaining, they did not fall on the same day. As such, the teams opted to move the game now. The matchup originally was scheduled for Jan. 29 in Oxford.
Admission to the game will be free. It will take place at 2 p.m. CT on SEC Network+.
The Rebels (17-4, 4-2 SEC) also postponed their Jan. 26 game against Tennessee. That game has yet to be rescheduled.
The Commodores (20-1, 6-1) lost to South Carolina on Jan. 25 but remained in Columbia afterward instead of returning to Nashville due to poor road conditions and power outages. They traveled to Birmingham straight from Columbia on the morning of Jan. 27, a program spokesperson told The Tennessean.
Vanderbilt is back at home for a Feb. 1 game (3 p.m. CT) against Florida at Memorial Gymnasium.
Ole Miss defeated Missouri in its most recent game on Jan. 22.
