Despite her team leading by 19 points at halftime vs No. 6 Vanderbilt, Ole Miss women’s basketball coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin wasn’t surprised when the Rebels’ advantage started slipping away.
“We were up by a lot, but we didn’t expect to just stay up like that,” McPhee-McCuin said. “Come on, Vanderbilt is a legitimate team. … They just didn’t come out intense at first like we did, and we were prepared for a fight.”
